I sit still
steady as a mountain
as the winds
of my expectations toss and turn me
like fallen leaves
I sit still

as the fear
about the future twists and turns me
like balls of tangled yarn
I sit still
steady as a mountain
as confusion all around me
shakes and shivers me
like sudden earthquakes
I sit still
