my day with trees started out quietly
till Douglas Fir requested a poem
I recited Emily Dickinson
pine needles twinkling in sunlight thanked me
saying that we were kindred spirits
I nodded, and took a nap on the picnic table
sky brought a dream-vision of world peace
each person offering their gifts to one another
hugging, singing, dancing
humanity holding hands to nurture Great Mother Earth
when I woke – I knew this was happening now

trust the breeze
to know where it is going
trust the sunlight
to know when to shine
trust each step
of your journey

stillness
teach me the magic
of being in place
bless me
with your love of silence
wisdom of peace
Divine Love
enters me through the cracks
the raw edges now shining with Light
who would have thought
that being broken
could bring wholeness

sprinkle sunshine
spread love
thick as jam on toast
listen like an open sky
embrace like there is nothing else in the world
you’d rather be doing

moon rise
bright globe in the twilight sky
silent promise of light
to guide us into dreams
that wake our true nature
it is all so simple
sun rises – sets
rain comes – ends
flowers blossom – bear fruit
grace abounds
